night and wait out the snow it will be alright." Replied Peter.

"Alright but can you turn on the heat it’s really cold out here." Rachel questioned.

"Yeah no problem I’m cold too." Agreed Peter.

Peter then proceeded to fall asleep very swiftly while rachel could not fall asleep she had a bad vibe coming from this place in the middle of nowhere but eventually her eyelids began to grow heavy and she drifted of into a deep sleep too.

Rachel then awoke as if no time had passed at all to rays of sun bouncing off the freshly fallen snow in the front of the vehicle. She looked over to her left and saw her husband still asleep she then proceeded to wake him up"

"Come on peter it’s time to wake up we still have to finish this drive where only a couple hours away"

"Alright give me second to get up" said peter still half asleep

"Ugh rachel i don’t think we’re gonna be going anywhere said peter as he turned the key of the car"

"And why is that"

"Well we’re kind of out of gas even though we filled up last night we left the heat on all night since we were cold"

"Great" she said in a sarcastic tone "what are we supposed to do know without any gas"

"Let’s go see if we can find a gas station ok" peter said to rachel reassuringly as she nodded her in agreement

So they began to walk north through the icy path on the side of the road. They mostly walked in silence. It continued like this for miles with no one in sight. They walked down to the point where they found a hiking trail and decided to along that path. So they started down that path for a while until rachel heard a sound out in the distance.

"Did you hear that peter" cautioned rachel

"Relax you know bears can smell fear" joked peter

"it’s not funny you know i’m afraid of that stuff"

"It’s ok rachel I can protect you; you know how much man vs wild i’ve seen"said peter still joking as they continued through the path

A few minutes passed and rachel heard the noise again only this time she didn’t say anything taking into consideration of what her husband had told her. They continued to walk but rachel could shake the feeling that something or someone was watching her, so she decide to have a peek behind her shoulder not thinking much of it until she saw it… standing on it muscular hind legs dripping saliva From the sides of its black rimmed mouth and staring at her with its lifeless eyes.

"Peter don’t move"whispered rachel as not to alarm the it

Then peter turned round to look at rachel when he too saw the beast

"Bear !!!"shouted peter as if rachel didn’t already know what it was

In that instant the bear lashed out and scratched peter on the face he quickly fell to the ground yelling out in pain. He swiftly grabbed his face to feel the red warm blood dripping from his hand. He saw this horrific sight and immediately fainted. His wife quickly ran over to her husband laying on the floor, as she did that the bear went over to her slowly letting his heavy feet hit the the floor. Rachel slowly backed up knowing she was no match for this five hundred pound beast. The bear then began to bite and chew on peter repeatedly as rachel watched in horror still continuing to back up.the bear then realized another potential meal. It took a break from peter and started slowly towards rachel. Rachel then began to sprint towards a ledge. When she reached the end she turned around and looked the bear dead in the eyes. The bear moved in closer knowing that this meal would not be able to escape and lunged forward towards her and slashed her in the stomach. This was enough to send rachel over over the ledge. Rachel feel in what felt like slow motion as she looked up to see the bear looking back down at her.

Rachel then opened her eyes to see her sitting inside a car.she was breathing heavily looking around to make herself aware of her surroundings. she glanced at the clock to see it flashing 12:37. What the hell just happened she thought to herself as she sat up in her seat. She looked over at her husband to see him still alive and sleeping. She noticed that the the heat was still on so she turned of the heat and the car not wanting a repeat of her nightmare. She laid back down in her seat to go back to sleep and all she could think about was her terrible
