Legal and Regulatory Environment

Utilizing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) services section should give all the information needed should any unforeseen public health issues arise. The CDC itself does not have international markets for branch office control. However, they are looking at global management. Their primary profile is disease control. Anyways, since I am an intern I do have a degree in Medicine and I am a certified Nurse. Therefore, the Federal government establishes laws that regulate the nursing profession that I have to follow. Of course, each state has a Board of Nursing, which imposes additional state rules and regulations. The Board monitors the nursing profession to ensure both state and federal regulations are followed. Modern nurses are faced with ethical dilemmas on a daily basis. It is essential that nurses are familiar with the laws governing their profession when addressing these situations.

In 2001, The American Nurses Association published the Code of Ethics with Interpretive Statements. These interpretive define the ethical obligations of professional nurses. According to this document, nurses should maintain patient confidentiality. “The rights, well-being, and safety of the individual patient should be the primary factors in arriving at any professional judgment concerning the disposition of confidential information received from or about the patient, whether oral, written or electronic” (American Nurses Association, 2016, p. 1).

Each state has The Georgia Board of Nursing Standards of Practice defines unprofessional conduct as the following, “disregarding the patient/client’s dignity, right to privacy or right to confidentiality” (Georgia Board of Nursing, 2016, p.1). The Georgia Board of Nursing feels that nurses should protect all patient information unless legal obligations require them to do otherwise.

In addition, to other public safety measures taken is that Camillus House Clinic is looking into what other facilities face on the same issues Camillus House Clinic does where I am doing my internship. Some of the findings I have seen and done are.

As for other health care on the importance of public policy as a determinant of health are that routinely acknowledge but there remains a continuing absence of mainstream debate about the ways these methods the politics, power, and ideology, which underpin public policy influence people's health.

As for, the Camillus House Clinic is no different from other health, public safety etc. face and these other facilities do explore any possible reasons as the Camillus House Clinic does. In addition, these other facilities research behind the absence of politics of health as well as demonstrate how these explicit acknowledgements lead to the political nature of health as well as will lead to more effective health promotion strategies, recommend policy changes such as to more realistic and evidence-based public health information and health promotion practices.

Public Health Systems

According to the World Health Organization health, promotion is defined as "The process of enabling people to increase control over, and to improve, their health. It moves beyond a focus on individual behavior towards a wide range of social and environmental interventions" (World Health Organization, 2016, p.1). This applies to the nursing profession in that nurses are educating patient on the steps needed for their health such as diet, exercise, therapies, and medication compliance.

Nursing Practice at Camillus House Clinic

Nursing practice at the Camillus House Clinic for my internship has been able to make a large impact on health promotion for the patient. Nurses are involved in many facets of continued health promotion such as; triage or consultation, follow-up care for patients once discharged home or placed here in the home (Camillus House Clinic) as well as learning through patient education, all spectrums, and illness prevention.

The Inter-Relationships among Systems that Influence the Quality of Life of People in Communities

All of these have made a large impact on the healthcare system allow a larger availability for health care services outside of the Camillus House Clinic as well as inside of the facility, better management and reduction in symptoms for the chronically ill, increased cost effectiveness allowing for patient without insurance. Of all the current training that I am going through gives me a better overall experience for patients leaving a more satisfied patient.

However, the patients with chronic illness are living better qualities of life in their own environments and patient self-awareness is heightened here at the Camillus House Clinic.

Nursing volunteer like me here at the Camillus House Clinic is constantly evolving with new technology and wider basis of knowledge for treating patients here.

The highly skilled or trained nurses that volunteer here are performing more and more procedures, assessments, and education, while I am still learning the steps on my internship level of aiding the patients or homeless that do come into the center. Therefore, doing the volunteer work is more cost effective for patients and allows the nurses more sanctioned time with them to build better rapport, which I learn a lot by these practices.

During my internship I have learn to become more involved in health care promotion, which are expected to have a wide but also specific knowledge of health promotion activities and treatments as well as a knowledge of national and social health care policies for optimum care upon my completion of my services (Bezner, 2015).

Here at the Camillus House Clinic a primary example of health promotion, that is current and is constantly adapting and changing is sex education taught here in our clinic. Volunteer nurses are involved in planning educational material for all age levels children as well as for the adults setting up effective and meaningful ways to teach the controversial material (Fayram & Anderko, 2009).

Changes in these Public Health Systems can be Measured
