Each division of animation progress is very fascinating and I am interested on every part of it. But from all of those division in animation making, I took the most interest in Post-production division specially on storyboarding. I think, this is the important progress that determine the flow of the story and thinking about how the stories will go and visualize it into some sketches is really fun and exiting but also makes me feels tense excitement. With my interest of animation film and ability to draw, I believe I would be able to enjoy working on this fields as I will most likely enjoy the job.

- History of Storyboarding

What is storyboard? A storyboard is a big comic strips panel that is lined up based on a film or animation in sequence and is made in advance to help cinematographers and directors to visualize every scene more specific and detailed so that we can analyse any possible problems before it occurs, and also to assure everything is flowing clear and smoothly going in order.

The first idea of storyboarding that we knew nowadays was mainly developed by Walt Disney Studio during the end of 1920s after similar technique used at other studio of animation for years. With the making of the first animated cartoon film Steamboat Willie, Walt Disney’s artist invented the storyboards in 1929s. The first storyboards was made similar to a comic book style and gradually evolved into a more illustrative concept drawings to clearly describe the situation and mood. And this technique is still used for movie based industrial even now, for example television advertising and film or movies for animations as well as life actions.
