The vital presence of women being under the jurisdiction of men is cruel. Women were expected to behave in ways that is disrespectful to their psyche and being and that sexual approach was considered more valuable than their lives. I felt that the cruelty and brutality of it shouldn't be carried out till today. The increasing prevalence of the prostitution industry has caused many Koreans to dehumanize sexual encounters with prostitutes while upholding the significance of chastity for respectable men and women. The idea that the essence of the Kisaengs career was to be alluring and attractive, and that their success was measured by her ability to enchant and seduce men is totally barbaric. This work is very alarming because of the fact that interpretations of Confucianism resulted in the dominance of prostitution. I don't agree with the continuation of this practice because it just seems totally wrong. Confucianism has strongly discouraged interaction between men and women and implemented strict gender roles. In present time, the growth of the sex industry is very inappropriate and extremely indecent. I believe that the practices beforehand doesn't need to mirror practices and culture in the present. It isn't wrong to change things for the better. I don't support prostitution whatsoever, and I am very open for alterations.
