Q3.Would you recommend the guaranteed wage in the PPP plan?Why or Why not?What would be your other recommendations in relation to the PPP plan?

Ans: For the guaranteed wage in the PPP plan, I recommend the company increase the guaranteed wage as to prevent some employees may be over-reacting on the issue.As mentioned before , there are many factors affecting technician performance’s beside personal effort.Simply by promoting the piece rate method and reduce the guaranteed wage by almost 30% cause unstable income and unreliable image to the employee.Most of them have family to support and prefer stable income.Therefore, I recommend the company should raise the guaranteed wage to 90% ,and the remaining part being counted as piece rate, the new percentage will not affect the basic income of the worker ,on the other hand , will motivate them towards achieving as much as possible glass they can product or install.

However, in the PPP plan,I think there is some ways to increase the company’s productivity and competitiveness. First , we should improve communication efforts.As we know the main factor of low productivity is the communication problem between installer and customer and the warehouse. Therefore, by improving the communication problem can easily shorten the time using on finding way and returning the flaw one to factory. For the way to improve workers communication skill, we can hold some training on guiding the installers how to express the correct location and direction to the installer.Second ,employee benefits is a must to increase the attraction of job application of our company and to retain the experienced workers.As our competitor offer ‘ buck and a truck’ to the worker which lure many of our ex-technician. We can see that most of our employee concern about the employee benefit and salary. Therefore we should also include the basic service as truck privilege so as to maintain the competitiveness. What’s more , re-training for management in leadership and motivation is needed to nurture the unity of workers.Our company should provide training to the manager on setting the effective goals which is achievable and attractive for worker to pursue ,also create the atmosphere that both the manager and worker is work as a team .As we found that effective goals is much more attractive and motivate worker to better performance than money.
