1- post modernism
A general mid twentieth century term employed to describe a Variety of artistic transformations which rely on nonrepresentational and textual techniques such as marginality , referentiality , hyper reality , intertextuality , mixing , Hybridity, pastiche and hypertextuality .
- Its mid twentieth century artistic movement which focuses in nonrepresentational and textual instability .
2- Hyperreality :-
A term created by the French post modern philosopher Jean Baudrillard to depict an imaginary world invented by the authors and readers through literary text .
- An imaginary world that is created by the author and the reader at the same time .
- Hyperreality has three features :-
A- Simulacrum B- Paralogism C- countermemoralising analysis
3- Simulacrum :-
A term coined by the French philosopher and literary critic Jean Baudrillard to donate the fusion of reality and imagination in an imaginary world created by hyper reality .
- A mixture of reality and imagination in a world of Hyperreality .
- The reality is made inside the world of imagination .
4- Paralogism :-
The use of any technique which proves the disunity of a text . A postmodern term referring to all strategies used for unsettling the truth , meaning , language and voice within any literary discourse .
- Any technique used to negate the meaning of a text
5- Countermemoralising analysis :-
Any analysis which does not reach specific conclusions and definite meaning
- Any kind of analysis which proves that the text has no form
6- Paratext :-
A post modern neologism which entails all minor elements related to a text : introduction , conclusion , notes , ect . Postmodernists foreground such features , giving them prominence and emphasizing their function within the signification process .
- It means all the miner features of the text such as introduction , conclusion, graph logical devices
7- Liminality :-
A postmodern term which describes the search for multiple underlying meanings without giving preference to any .
- A search for an indirect and miner meaning of the text
8- Echolalia :-
A postmodern notion whereby each word indefinitely echoes and mirrors the others inside a text .
- Each words echoes the other
- If we omit any word you will lose the meaning , we can't ever remove a word
9- Mise en Abyme :-
A postmodern device whereby each part of the same text constantly echoes or mirrors the other .
- Each parts of a text reflects the other parts of a text
10- Intertextuality :-
The act of mutual dependence between a text and other texts .
- The interdependence among text
- Which means that all kind of literature depends on each other . Each text may reminds you with another text .
- Instability has four types mixing , pastiche ,Hybridity , and Allusion .
11- Mixing :-
The use of different kind of literature at the same time
12- Pastiche :-
The use of unrelated material in order to create a parody
- The main difference between pastiche and mixing is that mixing is only related to literature novel , poetry , but pastiche is anything comes into your mind advisement , song .
- Pastiche describes unrelated material but in mixing all of them is related .
13- Hybridity :-
The state of interchangeable flow of different cultures .
- The use of two different culture
14- Hypertextuality :-
A text connected by links which allow the reader to come up with multiple interpretations .
- A kind of text which depends on links to allow the readers different choices inside the same text .
- It was a term created after the first invention of computer .
- This kind of literature is mainly created to be written and read on the computer screen .
- This is a kind of electronic literature .
