Some of the influences of the Black Lives Matter movement are that
the Democratic National Committee passed a resolution supporting Black Lives Matter. In the first Democratic debate, the presidential candidates were asked whether black lives matter or all lives matter. In reply, Bernie Sanders stated "black lives matter”. Martin O'Malley said, "Black lives matter," and that the "movement is making is a very, very legitimate and serious point, and that is that as a nation we have undervalued the lives of black lives, people of color." Jim Webb, on the other hand, replied: "as the president of the United States, every life in this country matters." Hillary Clinton was not directly asked the same question, but was instead asked: "What would you do for African Americans in this country that President Obama couldn't?" In response to what she would do differently from President Obama for African-Americans, Hillary Clinton pushed for criminal justice reform, and said, "We need a new New Deal for communities of color."
In conclusion, the Black Lives Matter movement has been a huge political instability in the world. Black people remain substantially behind white people, continuing to face discrimination. There has also been numerous cases of shootings dealing with police brutality and black lives, such as the cases of Trayvon Martin and a more recent case of Alton Sterling. The movement continues to promote their slogan and motto against police brutality and injustice.
