Product placement is a major asset to the commercial industry because it is what makes the audience interested to buy the product. For example, “Today’s young adult audiences around the world are the main target group for product placement because they are believed to increasingly converge in terms of lifestyle and taste” (Ţierean, O. M., & Roman, D. E. (2015). In the commercial, the product made the entire plot because it was why the woman was interested in the guy and licking the crumbs off his face because the Doritos chips. It was also why the man appeared for the Dorito crumbs as well. Product placement is important especially if it can appeal to young viewers because they are attention gets drawn into commercials and leaves them wanting things such as Doritos.

The Doritos commercials have been effective for many years now, using advertisement to get the audience to buy the Doritos. The advertisement they use is typically always different from the other. Some are family orientated and some are out of the ordinary and funny because they may be related to the Super Bowl. Doritos has always made great commercials that appeal to the audience and will continue to make them for many years.
