department for a company.

3. How should Matulovic respond to his fellow executives who are calling to ask

him for special treatment outside the new priority management system?

Matulovic did not work for the other members of the ELT, but he did have to

work with them. Whatever he decided could certainly affect working

relationships, so he would need to consider his options carefully. Considering the

relationship with ELT, Matulovic should not behave any bias or special treatment

to all the departments/teams and reply to them that the decision he made is fully

considered through the benefits of all company. The process of the new priority

management system is complete. Without the agreement of ELT, the process

cannot be revised and should be totally implemented.

4. What should Matulovic do about the unfunded Supply Flow project?

With unfunded supply flow or insufficient funds for a project, the implementation

would stretch another year. Because the value of a project should be recognized at

the global level of the organization but not the VWoA importer level, some key

projects will be neglected to be fund by a mistake. So Matulovic need to revise the

strategy to fund other projects which also need money urgently and will benefit

the whole market profit but not only the department profit. One thing Matulovic

can do is that he, with discussion with ELT, can issue a balanced card for every

departments/teams and value how they worked in the current year, how urgently

the money should be fund in 1 or 2 years, etc., then reconstruct the ratio of the

fund and support most of the projects in an efficient way. By doing so, they can

minimize the loss of undoing the project and maximize the profit for the whole

company in America.
