Conclusion

Operation management is equally important in small organization as in big ones. Regardless of their size, all organizations need to produce and deliver their products and services efficiently and effectively. Managing operation has its own set of problems especially in small to medium size firms as large firms may have the resources to dedicate employees to specialized tasks when smaller company may not be able to, hence workers may have multiple tasks when there is a need. It can be confused for the decision-making process as individuals’ roles overlap. However, small operations can also have significant advantages.
