For both countries, we can easily foresee bright futures for them, but results for the competition between the authoritarian regime and free institution can hardly be predicted. At least, we can say that authoritarian regime in China is more suitable for those who have a specific aim, while free institution is more suitable for those who prefer a natural economic development. As for as I am concerned, with a powerful government, authoritarian regime would be efficient in the early stage of economic development, to assemble capital, attack investment and allocate efficiently. But this development mode is not sustainable, so transition to free institution is inevitable, as the country has become developed and met “an unknown future” if the authoritarian regime carries on.
Whatever the comparison between the two economic entities is, they have already drawn the world’s attention and still will. It’s never been easy to predict but easy to expect.
