On the other hand, the advantages of self-testing is numerous but at the same time students should not neglect possible disadvantage of self- testing as it could has adverse effect on students. The negative side of self-testing may be that student could repeat the same mistake again in the real test when feedback for self-testing is not being provided accurately .Butler and Roediger (2008) cited in Dunlosky et al (2013) “a multiple –choice practice test increased intrusions of false alternatives on a final cued- recall test when no feedback was given”.(pp.35). The evidence suggested that if the answer for practice testing is not being provided, it is possible to argue that the learner who practice this learning technique can do badly in the exam as the wrong answer would probably being used in the real exam. Students need to ensure that the answer for the practice testing are all in the correct form so it could avoid to repeat the same mistake again.

In addition, practice testing usually being done by the students outside the classroom, perhaps the students may use the resource from the library, authorized reference book or the source from the internet. The resource from library or authorized reference book may not imposed a big problem for the students but it could be argued that the source from the internet may not be reliable and some of it may be also outdated or inaccurate .Student who used the internet as a source for self-testing must be very careful because students could become confused when the source from the internet and the knowledge he/she has learn was totally difference. The example of this issues would happen for some particular subject like Mathematic. A Mathematic question may have many differences way to solve it and the answer for the question would still remain the same. Teachers can play an important role on this issue by giving the students appropriate and reliable online practice questions thus this would avoid unreliable practice question being used by students.

In conclusion, appropriate learning technique can become the key to success for every student thus it is vital for the learner to discover the most effective learning technique to achieve an excellent performance in academic study. Self testing can be the choice for the students because the evidence suggested that student performance was better compare to other learning technique. Besides that students must be more caution when using the online source for self testing, so that the students can enjoy the fruitfulness of self testing.
