Importing Gold of Vietnam from 2012 to 2016

In recent years, the import of gold fluctuates in the value of gold imports in different countries. According to statistics from 2012 to 2015, Viet Nam imported gold of more than 21 countries with the total value of gold imports increased significantly compared to 2012. The lowest total gold value was in 2012 with a total of US $ 100408072 and the highest total gold import value was in 2014 with a total of US $ 128200319. By 2013, the total value increased dramatically with a total value of $ 117088189. In 2015 there will be a slight decrease compared to 2014 with a total value of 126495650. In general, Viet Nam imports gold in many countries. However, Viet Nam was mainly importing with large and regular value in some countries such as Japan, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Canada and Korea. The remaining countries, Viet Nam only import gold with low value and not annual continuously. (Table 1.1.1A)

From the total import value of gold each year, Viet Nam imports gold with HS code 710811which accounted for negligible in total of import value and mainly imported from Japan. In 2013, the value entered with this code was only 1.31%. In 2014, this rate increased slightly compared to 2013 was 1.39%. However, in 2015 the rate was lower than 2014 by 1.27%. (Table 1.1.1 b)
