discharge from the nose, difficulties breathing or eye redness. Like vaccines for people there are also vaccine for pigs.
Influenza B is slightly less common than A but can cause a flu outbreak. You can get this by being around children or adult that has the bacteria and sperm it from person to person. It has the same contagiousness as influenza A. The bacteria spreads into the lungs or the blood stream. If the bacteria is not treated it can cause further complication such as bacterial pneumonia or meningitis.
Lastly, Influenza virus C is not as easily isolated so less information is known of this type, but studies show that it happens worldwide. This virus may be spread from person to person through respiratory droplets and on non-living or non-living material such as surfaces. After 18–72 hours being infected it infects the respiratory tract. Influenza virus C tends to cause mild upper respiratory infections. Just like influenza A and B C also has cold-like symptoms with the virus including fever (38-40ᵒC), dry cough, nasal discharge, headache, muscle pain, and achiness. The virus may lead to more severe infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia.
In order to control the spread of influenza there are a few steps that can be taking. Such as frequent hand-washing and then using a hand sanitizer after. When coughing or sneezing cover your mouth with your inner elbow to avoid contamination in your hands. Lastly avoid crowds that can easily be spread to people such as public transportation. Infected people can also wear a surgical mask to reduce the amount of droplet spray in the air with the bacteria.
