I think the most important issue is regarding ethnicity, religion and how to join this into the workforce with all the others in this meatpacking organization. The manager agrees to and stated that he would allow the Muslim to have their breaks at sunset so they can see the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. So now it’s a matter of how to up hold this agreement and try to keep his other employees’ content.
James the manager should have thought this out more clearly but for now he needs to offer the Muslims an apology for the scheduling mistake he made and take all the responsibility for the damages it may have caused. James should than promise to produce a better break schedule based on all faiths and religious practices. James should still continue to keep the Muslim workers, but he needs to hold a meeting with them and let them know that after the month for Ramadan is over see the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The production of the meatpacking has gone up tremendously so even though these long praying breaks are happening the Muslim do work very hard and long hours to make up for the them they take while praying.

James must respect the Muslims religion but the Muslim’s also have to understand that work is important too and by them praying they are also exceeding break time, they are than also crossing ethic work limits. If work is decreasing and break times are changing this to is crossing the work boundaries.

Identify alternatives- James sees that the alternative is to alter the breaks for benefit all employees regardless of their faith or religion but this will be done after the month of Ramadan is over.
Weigh the evidence- look at all the facts and do what is best for the employees and the organization.
Choose among alternatives- Making the decisioning and understand the risk involved with his decision which will be best for the company and it will be a positive outcome and a good outcome for the social media. Keep the company together.
Take action- James will take action and have a meeting when the time comes which will be in the months end.
Work performance and preventing unnecessary disruption to work is very important to this case because it is being interrupted due to different sunrise times and therefore employees are being shifted around
