From the first eleven chapters of Genesis including the story of creation, we can learn many lessons that are relevant in today’s society. We learn that he created the world and every living thing in the world in only a literal seven day time period and that on the seventh day God rested. The beginning of Genesis is where the identity of humans comes from and how man was created in the image of God the Creator. Every person has his or her own individual worldview. A worldview is the perspective someone has on the world and others around him or her. All Christians should have a worldview that reflects their belief. This means they should have a biblical worldview. A biblical worldview is a worldview that honors God as Creator, part of this is by giving Him praise and worshiping Him as Creator and Lord of the entire universe.
In Genesis we learned how the world was before creation, we also learned how God created each aspect of the world, and how man ruined the world that God created perfect for man by sinning against Him. We also learn about how God wiped out the entire earth with a flood that cover the whole surface of the earth and how he changed up the languages spoken by man at the tower of Babel. We also learned how it is important to have a biblical worldview and how each of these situations effect people’s worldview. These situations have been a vital part in shaping my worldview as a Christian and how I view society today. (KJV Genesis 1-11)
