that I have followed through, feel much better than I was at the beginning of the plan. So, at the start of my scheme, drinking fifty ounces was difficult enough, but as time went it, it became easier to drink more water as each day passed by.
I recorded all my data onto a spreadsheet on excel to help my see an increase of my behavior. I inserted my data into both a bar graph and a scatter plot. As in Appendix A, the bar graph shows the difference of my water intake per day. By doing this, it demonstrates the difference of how much I consumed for each of the twenty-eight days. But in Appendix B, I put the data into a scatterplot and added the data to show how much water I drank for each of the four weeks to show how it increased over that period.
The behavior was a success, and the reason for it was because of fidelity to put in the work to make it happen. The reason the plan worked was that it takes commitment to finish something that one starts. I believe that my plan was very successful; I would put it as a method that can be readily achievable if the one puts in the commitment to doing the behavior. The reason it was so achievable is that for one, water is readily available and that one needs water to hydrate the body. As the days went by, I saw that I was feeling better each day the more I drank water, compared to me just drinking soft drinks in replacement for water whenever I was thirsty. Plus, by drinking water, I was showing myself that it is not essential for me to drink soft drinks for whenever I am thirsty. By staying true to myself, I now feel much better at the end of this behavioral modification because I no longer drink as many soft drinks than I did start the end of this plan.
For next time, I will write down how many ounces of water I drink per day, but at the same time, I will also write down how many times I drink soft drinks I drink throughout the day. By doing this, I can then show the relationship of being hydrated cancels the need to drink as many soft drinks. A way to improve the behavior, even more, I could change the daily and weekly reinforcements and make the punishments even worse. Therefore, this behavioral modification of drinking eighty ounces of water daily was a success.
