much need experiences so that they’ll be prepared for anything. And I always must be fair and treat everyone with respect and never show any favoritism.
---------------------------------------------------------------
The last and final paragraph of the NCO Creed pieces everything about the first two paragraphs together. It also gives me a sense of understanding about how important it is for me
to know my job. Knowing my job and being able to execute it well is important because ours are counting on me to do part. I am a significant asset to the mission being a success. If I’m unable to perform, then there’s a chance that the mission will fail. Mission failure is not an option. I must be effective in accomplishing all of my tasks and duties so that my officer counterparts
have the necessary resources and information they need to command and to make the right decisions. Being successful with this will in turn earn me the respect of my seniors, peers, and my subordinates.
Overall, the Creed of the Noncommissioned Officer is a guide that I use as a foundation for how I operate in my Army profession and in my personal life each day. I strive to be the best Soldier, the best NCO, and the best person that I can be day in and day out. I understand that I’ll make mistakes on the way and that I will never be perfect but as long as I learn from my
mistakes I will continue to improve professionally and personally. My experiences, good and bad, aid in my professional and personal development.
I am proud, honored, and privileged to be a member of the time honored corps of noncommissioned officers. I will continue to work hard doing my part in coaching, teaching, and training Soldiers, so that they have the tools they need to follow in my footsteps. This is not just a job to me, it’s my lifestyle and I plan on living it to the fullest. This is my charge and I fully accept the challenge.
