The types of Leadership that will be needed to execute this project: Transformational leadership- Focusing on liberty, equality, and justice for these young men are key in the helping of them to obtain higher learning. Being driven by duty and guided by good ethical principles is what will make this idea work. These leaders are altruistic. Servant leadership- the fact that you put the needs of young black boys first is needed. These leaders are less likely to cast shadows. Responsible leadership- The relationship between the adult and the young men are connected through a shared sense of meaning and purpose. We need open minded followers, open to new ideas and concepts. Some of the challenges would be social and economic barriers. Negative outside influence and a lack of focus and interest. These are daily battles that will go on for a while, until over all understanding of the greater good is accepted.

Execution of this project may take life times. This project is world changing. Like any other project, the starting small and growing is our goal. There are thousands of like minded people that we shall start with. We would be using all forms of media and mostly word of mouth. Every adult can take up a torch and plan to mentor a misguided/mislead young black male. This of course won’t be easy. With so much negative push back from certain communities it will most definitely be a struggle, but one thing I have learned in life is anything worth having (change) is worth fighting for. These young boys need us today, and I’m certain we’ll need them in the future. We would be investing into a better future, one with lower incarceration numbers, lower percentage of all crimes and higher developed role models. So all churches, schools, community centers, Fraternities and Sororities, and anyone who feels that a change is needed, start with yourself and expand. We tend to execute things better when we write things down, your plan of action. Find someone or one’s that you feel could use some guidance and together write down goals and how to achieve those goals. Be a Bridge Builder in showing them the multiple avenues that are available that lead to positive future outcomes. I truly believe that this would just be the beginning with young black youth and expand out to a world where we help one another because it’s the right thing to making a better world.
