1. After seeing the topic and do exercises about vertical throw upwards helped by your teacher, you can do this activity. In teams of four people answer the following questions

a) Imagine that a ball is thrown vertically upwards with certain starting velocity. Explain without equations, how rising motion is opposite to descending motion. In order to answer this question and others, you have to consider that the origin of the reference system coincide with the throwing point.

Answer:

b) It has been determined that some planet acceleration is the fourth part of the Earth acceleration because of gravity. Does it mean that a ball threw directly upwards in that planet, comparing to a thrown under the same circumstances on Earth, it would take 4 times more to reach its highest point or it would take 4 times less to reach the top?

Answer: It takes 4 times more

c) What would happen if we threw two objects at the same velocity vertically upwards: one of 2 kg and another of 20 kg?

Answer: The object weighing 20 kg falls faster than that weighs 2

d) Up to now, we have studied motion in general under ideal conditions, what do you understand by ideal Why do you think motion is studied way?

Answer:

e) Imagine that you can go to the moon. If you jump using all your strength on Earth and you do the same on the moon, what similarities and differences have would been in both jumps?

Justify your answer.

Answer: much difference because the moon is a very different Earth gravity

2. In plenary with your teacher, discuss the answers to those questions, compare answers with your classmates' answers and with your teachers explanations.

3. In a Word document, write the answers of the previous questions, and include your team answers and other teams answers also your teacher's answers to the questions.
