In addition to the months or years of planning and dreaming to visit the secular Mecca that Disney World has become, there is the trip from the parking lot or ticket and transportation center to enter the park itself.” This is an amazing thing that Disney does. They try to make things like getting to the park and the ticket lines magical. This is important and part of the reasons that they are so successful as a company because when Disney World was being constructed, Walt Disney decided to purchase a large sum of land, so the park could be far from the generic venues. Walt noticed after Disneyland’s construction that it was in the middle of everything and that could cause for guests to be attracted away from the park.

Along with a change to tourism in these generations, Disney Parks also made a large difference in the economy and workforce. Disney World alone employs 62,000 people. That in itself is an insane statistic to think about. This shows the effect the Disney has had on creating jobs for people to make sure that their parks run smoothly. As a former cast member at Disney writes in “Working in Disney World: Behind the Magic” they share what exactly it was like working in the happiest place on Earth. They start of by saying “It is amazing going into work each day and knowing that something you say could make a guest’s day.” This is very important when working at any job because a job is only a job if you do not like doing it. Many cast members have stated that working in Disney, whether it’s Disneyland or Disney World, that it rarely ever feels like a job for them. Another way that Disney has changed a generation because if you have ever been to Disney and look at a cast member’s nametag, you will see where they are from. A lot of the time it will say somewhere near the park they work at. However, there are many cast members who will come from other countries to work at Disney.

To conclude, Disney Parks are magical places that have affected numerous generations over the years. These parks will continue to change people’s lives. Disneyland, Disney World, along with the Disney Parks overseas, are fantastic places and will be vacation spots for people and their families for a long time. Disney has changed and positively affected generations for years. Along with affecting tourism, these parks have affected economy and the workforce. Without Disney Parks, the world would be a lot different and we should all be thankful for this magical place that has truly created “the happiest place on Earth.”
