would rally only help the privileged people become even more privileged, powerful, and rich. Both Jefferson’s and Hamilton’s arguments were based on the “elastic clause” which gave Congress the right to make laws “necessary and proper” to carry out other powers given to Congress.
The two men were both great historical influences in America. Together they were both Founding Fathers of the United States. They helped make the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. They also both believed in American freedom and independence although they each had their own ideas on the subjects and how it should be dealt with. Since Hamilton was a federalist and Jefferson was Democrat-Republican they each took this information and turned it into what they believe in and what knowledge they have. The two historians also helped America during the Revolutionary War. They both were fighting against Britain and were both fight for freedom of the States. Hamilton and Jefferson were also part of President George Washington’s cabinet.
Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson were both very important people in American history. The differences from the two stand out a lot more than the similarities. They both had opposite ideas from each other which made it so they hated each other. Jefferson represented the Democrats and the Republicans when Hamilton represented the Federalists. Together they both had great ideas that brought this country to how it is today but then they also had poor ideas that they fought over. The differences of the two were much more significant than the similarities, but all the information is important the the modern American citizen.
