Emotional consequences can be brought about from the aftermath of wars. It could be due to threatening, forcing or even shell shock syndrome. One example is The First World War which is often associated with shell shock syndrome. This is due to the trauma caused from the War and affected the later lives of the soldiers and the people. There were tremendous rise in the cases of people suffering from shell shock during the Battle of the Somme in 1916.

When warfare causes transporting people from place to place, the resulting consequence on the environment can be severe. Some impacts are deforestation, hunting, soil erosion and pollution on water and land by human waste happened when people are settled to a new place. Such as, during the Rwandan conflict in 1994, Akagera National Park was opened to refugees; as a result, local populations of animals later became extinct due to the resettlement of the humans.

During wars, enemies may cause destruction to infrastructure of the country. These destruction of wastewater treatment plants, may fall in the regional water quality tremendously. For example, during 1990s fighting in Croatia, the chemical manufacturing plants were bombed, due to this, harmful chemicals flowed down into streams of water and were not carefully noticed, which was only noticed until the conflict ended, but it was too late when the toxins were polluted already.

Overall, war brings to human harm is enormous, the war made people the destruction, be forced to leave one's hometown. The war brought death; the war brings destruction; the war brought environmental pollution; unable to erase the shadow war brought to mankind. War, whether of social environment or to the ecological environment, is a benefit without harm, war is not only a human catastrophe, but also the earth's catastrophe, but there is only one earth, lose it, we will have no place to live in. To protect the earth is to protect our homeland, only to have a peaceful environment, human beings can towards prosperity, we will have a peaceful home.
