marriage will be allowed. Also, if a man who has been sexually active, then he can only marry a woman who is sexually active or practices polytheism, and in vice versa. Basically, the Islamic Laws suggest that persons who share common sexual behaviors, then they are allowed to marry each other. In contrast of these two law codes, in table 6 of the Twelve Tables say that if a man and woman lives together consistently for one year, then they are considered in common law marriages. Also, it states that the woman in this marriage will be treated as her husband’s daughter by legal law. However, the Islamic Law does not reference anything about honoring common law marriages or treating their wives as the husband’s daughter.

On the other hand, the Commandments of Christ tell of God’s reciprocal love and following his commandments will grant you your place in heaven with him. Also, this contains the Beatitudes which connect practices with the other laws through basic instructions to receive rewards. For instance, we can compare the meaning of the laws telling us how God blesses the meek and having a clean heart will seek Him connects to other laws by giving us rules that God has set out for each of these cultures and religions to follow. Also, they compare and contrast regarding views on culture and how they set laws on that. Such as, the Ten Commandments and the Jewish Laws are culturally connected because of the birth of their religion and their connection with Christ as a Jewish man, who created Christianity. Also, they both come from Jewish-Hebrew backgrounds as a word from YHWH and the Ten Commandments come from the Jewish Torah, which is used in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. In contrast, the Code of Hammurabi and the Twelve tables differ from all of these codes because of their Babylonian culture and Roman culture. Lastly, mostly all of the codes share common commands about how committing adultery is not allowed. Though, several of the codes differ when the state forms of punishment for breaking this law, while others do not list any forms of reprimand for committing such crimes.
