best fits it. Workplace as a service is when an organization/user group use the cloud to install software for the use of members of the organization and operation of its members. Data as as a Service which is the storage of data (possibly in the cloud) that the user can use, usually with some accompanying fee or cost (but not always). Security as a Service is remote security which can be quickly deployed. It is usually acquired through the cloud but it could also be outsourcing security to another organization. This service is seen as very responsive to changing security measures contrary to an organization employing its own security (Ganore, 2012).

1.What are the characteristics of Cloud Computing?

· The first characteristic is ‘on demand self-service’ which allows users to allocate cloud resources independently. This allows for personalization for either the organization or the user who can shift cloud resources without needing to go to another party to do so. The second characteristic is broad network access, which means simply that the cloud is accessible supporting a wide range of users and their applicable devices. The cloud is versatile, and portable, which is important for users and organizations. The third characteristic is resource pooling, which allows the cloud to serve many customers, yet keeping them separate using the same equipment. The fourth characteristic is rapid elasticity which means the system always adjusts capacity based on demand allowing users and organizations flexibility. The fifth characteristic is measured service which is simply being charged by how much an organization or user use the cloud. This can be monthly or pay as you go methods. Usage is measured through a variety of means, and billed accordingly to the user depending on the payment method (Schouten, 2014).
