He had to live with the fact that he would never be able to live his life with his one true love, and with that knowledge he became a complete and mess.
Most of the time when a parent has lost their spouse due to a tragic death, they most likely will not marry again. However, Hamlet’s mother ,Gertrude, did remarry and not just to any man, but to Hamlet’s Uncle Claudius. Gertrude’s remarriage was quite difficult for Hamlet to accept because he thought his mother was madly in love with his father and would never move on after his decease.
Hamlet had dealt with more than most people have to deal with in life. He had to deal with his father being murdered, his mother remarrying his uncle, and losing his love Ophelia. He was able to put on this act of becoming crazy without truly becoming insane himself. Most people would not have been able to cope with all of those tragic events occurring in their life but Hamlet was able to take all of his emotions and move it toward seeking revenge which was tragic . However when trying to destroy his uncle he ended up destroying himself. While plotting to kill Claudius Hamlet had not realized that someone else was plotting to kill him. In tragic situations like this the hero always dies . Even if Hamlet was just a lost soul who was heartbroken and torn apart, he was destined to meet his end sooner than later but his thirst and strive for revenge is what made it sooner and that is the tragedy of Hamlet.
