I mean I see where it’s come from after all the problems I’ve been a part of, but, I suppose I take a neutral stance on it. Maybe being a father of 3 kids at this age has made me slightly mature and stop drugs in a way. But then again, the contrary is true, I’ve been called Justin Bieber as well, I guess that neutralizes it, no?

Thoughts on rap?

Too many people take it seriously in this part of the world. If you say some rude word, people take offense to it without any justification. That’s what I feel and I think it’s crippling the industry. When rappers say a bad word, it ain’t against someone, it’s just expressing our feelings, you know? I don’t get why people need to be rioting and shit. Look, if someone else does it from outside a rapping background, no one gives a crap, but when a rapper does it, NO, a big fucking deal!

Wow, powerful response. Anyways, last question of the day – Do you regret some of the stuff you’ve done/been part of?

In a way, yeah man, I do get kinda worried about the stuff I did before, especially the whole weed stuff and what not. But I suppose, that’s what being a father does to you, one looks at the world differently and stuff. Sometimes I end up saying shit and the media publishes something else, but it does happen that people take the wrong meaning out of stuff and the next thing you know, there’s a huge-ass photo of me on the magazine cover looking like someone who’s committed a murder. Regret will be there, man, I was too young to think it through and if I had a time-machine I’d totally go back to fix some of that shit. But I guess speculating about this won’t fix it all – will it?
