I used to be an introvert person who was born in the rural area of developing country. Because of lack of technology, I was restricted from its comfort. Being born and raised in the lap of nature, it has taught me it’s importance in the world. During rainy days, a flower Lotus used to bloom. The Lotus itself is beautiful, but it grows only in the muddy, murky pool which shows that the beauty isn’t affected by the negative surrounding. Or we can take it as a symbol of light in the dark which brightens the world. In the sense of its importance in the nature, Lotus is like Daffodil. They are directly or indirectly playing their role and witnessing every positive and negative change in the world.

The speaker is curious about the mysteries of Nature and is aimlessly looking for any new experience to increase his imagination. This poem is not what it appears to be because at first when we read it, we think that it is about loneliness but in the end, it is all about the sublime happiness. Imagination holds greater truths than given by our senses and it is used mostly in every process to gain more understanding of it. In this poem, Daffodil is the imagination of poet to get a better understanding of Nature.
