Additionally, he went through so many odysseys within his young age, as a result, the relationship between Christ and his parents is not so good. One time in his early life, he said to his parents that he has had the greatest car in the world, another time he said he wanted them to buy him a new car as a graduation gift, they bought for him, thought he have to be happy but in reality, he was just hated them so much. Of course, they haven’t known until her sister revealed the letter he wrote for her: “I’ve told them a million times that I have the best car in the world… yet they ignore what I say… I’m going to have to be real careful not to accept any gifts from them in future because they will think they have bought my respect.” (21). Moreover, the more he went on with his adventure, the less mail his parent received from him. He even cut off those communications for nearly two years and when his parent reheard about him, that’s the time he’s dead. Personally, I disagree with his behavior towards his parents. They are still his parent anyways and that’s not a good behavior he uses to treat someone who gave him a life. Over than that, he finally realized his fault but it was too late; however, it showed he was still a thoughtful person: “A note urging whoever happens to read it to “call your parents as soon as possible.”” (202). That heart-touching moment made everything became the saddest things ever.
He was a great person but not really thinking ahead whenever it comes to any decisions. His impetuous temperamental eventually led to an early death. But overall, In some parts, I have to admit that I love the way he lived for himself, he lived for his passion, he lived and did everything he wanted and I bet he didn’t regret to have such a wonderful life like that. To conclude, I will quote something that describes the best my thought and feeling about Christopher Johnson McCandless, about his bravery and wildness:
“Sure, he screwed up,…, but like that, month after month, is incredibly difficult… I’ve never call McCandless incompetent have ever done it either not for more than a week or two. Living in the interior bush for an extended period, subsisting on nothing except what you hunt and gather - most people have no idea how hard that can actually is. And McCandless almost pulled it off.” (185)
