Voter Partticipation
An estimated 120.2 million people voted, representing 59.6% of adults’ citizens. The turnout figures have implications for a Democratic Party that already was embarking on the soul-searching that goes on after any major political loss (Jim Drinkard). In 2014, Tennessee had a total of 6,549,352 people that voted on the next President. American males under 18 years had 761,918 to vote. American females under 18 years had 730, 419 to vote. Native Americans under 18 had 746, 734 votes. However, the Native Americans females had 715, 616 votes (Census Bureau). Within both sexes males and females, 5,273, 785 whites voted in the year of 2014. African Americans had 1,179,277 votes within the year of 2014. American Indians had 68, 337 votes in 2014. Asian had 138,487 votes. Native Hawaiian had 10, 813 votes (Census Bureau). The voting population done grew in the years 2014 and 2015. Both females and males’ white voters had 248, 067, 530 votes in the year 2015. African Americans had 43,213,173 votes. American Indians had 6, 138,482 votes. Asian had 17,676,507 votes. Native Hawaiian had 1,332, 494 votes (Census Bureau). In the year 2016, Tennessee won the Republic party. They had eleven electoral votes. Between the years 1900 and 2016, Tennessee was winning the democratic votes. However, the years 2000 and 2016, they went against democratic and for the Republicans (Ballopedia). During the election of 2016, there were 42% of whites that voted for Clinton. Meanwhile, fifty-two percent of voters voted for Trump. Blacks had 91% of voters to vote for Clinton. They had 7% of voters to vote for Trump. However, Hispanics had 66% of voters to vote for Clinton and 24% of voters to vote for Trump (Pew Research Center).

Politics of Interest Groups
An interest group is any group or organization that makes demands upon government. Interests groups engage in a wide variety of activities, such as direct lobbying, asking citizen members to contact their legislators, publishing research reports, and making presentations to Congress. Tennessee has eleven different interest groups but only six is current. Tennessee Right to Life exists to promote public respect for the dignity of every human life especially those that threatened by abortion, infanticide, partial-birth abortion, assisted suicide, or euthanasia. The members of Tennessee Right to Life assist in providing direct and tangible resource to women and families facing difficult or unexpected pregnancies (vote smart). Tennessee Conservation Voters is a statewide non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of Tennessee’ environment and preservation of the state’s natural resources through effective legislative and administrative advocacy. Tennessee Conservation Voters focuses on the resources on making environmental protection a top priory for its electoral political candidates and voters. The legislature votes will be different unless they voted for the same bill (Vote Smart). Tennessee State Employees Association is a non-profit organization that force for improvement towards salaries, rights, and benefits of the state employees. The Tennessee Firearms Association is responsible for protecting the state from gun violence. The Association defended the constitution amendment and the right to bear arms. United Campus Workers until Tennessee higher education of the staff and faculty. Their mission is to advance and defend the interests of all staff and faculty. They advanced the social and economic justice in the workplace and the community. The Tennessee AFL-CIO Labor Council is the state’s umbrella labor organization for over 45 affiliated Unions, representing 340 Local Unions and 250,000 workers across the state. Their goal is to improve and protect the quality of life for all working men, women and their families.

Party competitution
An “index of interparty competition” a measure of party competition based on election for governor and state legislative races. During the period 1962-1973, Tennessee was placed in the “modified one-party Democratic” category. The party didn’t have any evidence that the Republicans gain control of independence from gubernatorial. The impact of the Republic party growing will contribute to the achievement of closer partisan balance in the General Assembly. If Republicans can achieve the same success as they are doing in the legislature elections, then it will be a better policy making. Tennessee has a ratio of Democratic to Republicans of 5 to 6 in the senate through the 85th General Assembly. By the third constitution in 1970, Democratic had been reduced to a margin of 21 to 12 (John P. Vile).
The Tennessee Democratic Party is the organized coalition of Democratic in Tennessee founded in 1826. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) consists of the highest-ranking elected male and female within the state’s Democratic Party. In Memphis, Tennessee Democrats had current issues on children and families that have an high rate of infant mortality. The Democratic voted the Affordable Care Act into existence. They sponsored the Medicare Information Act and believes in making health care more affordable for everyone. For security, Democratic believe in having a national defense and supporting the resources so the state can have a strong military base. The issue on transportation, the Democratic invest in things such as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The act will put workers back to work. They will have steady transportation for the workers. However, the workers will have to rebuild broken roads and bridges (Wikipedia, Encyclopedia).

The Tennessee Republican Party is the main party of the United States Republican Party in the state. Another name for the Republic Party is the Tennessee Grand Old Party. The state of Tennessee is a Republic state. The Republic Party have power over the governor’s office and a majority in the Tennessee Senate and the Tennessee House of Representatives.
