Macau is not a city that possesses many natural resources. In order to develop, it cannot rely solely on the environment. Lack of natural resources is the main disadvantage of Macau. Macau does not have any natural resources so they cannot rely on the farming and industry. It can just rely on the gaming industry instead of others. Therefore, almost all the financial supports are from the gaming industry in Macau. If there are some problems in the gaming industry, financial deficit will be occurred. The cash sharing scheme then cannot be achieved. However, the cash sharing scheme has become very common in Macau nowadays. Many citizens rely a lot on the cash sharing scheme. If the financial deficit is occurred, the cash sharing scheme must be stopped. It will cause a lot of grievance of the citizens. It will also create many problems because of this negative effect.

By way of conclusion, the cash sharing scheme which is a new policy adopted by the Macau government consists both pros and cons sides. The advantages of issuing this scheme are the followings, increasing the reputation of the Macau government, diminishing the income disparities, maintaining stability of people and enhancing the prospect of the Macau citizens towards Macau’s future development. On the contrary, it may also bring negative effects as the followings, aggravating inflation, increasing citizens’ dependency on gaming industry and enhancing the reliance of people towards the Macau government. Therefore, the above points illustrate that the issuing of cash sharing scheme does not simply act as a budgeting issue but also exists in carrying out significant political effects.
