After administration by the human resource managers, it is the sole duty of the same managers to maintain the work metrics by making follow ups on the performance of the staffing and recruiting metrics in the organization.
Metrics can be measured through structured panel interviews to asses past experiences relevant to the type of staffing metrics used. This normally focuses on the job knowledge since it touches on the specific job that is being validated. Conduction of surveys can also be considered as a way of coming up with measures on satisfaction metrics. Metrics can also be scored through benchmarking which involves evaluating practices of an organization against those of the best companies with similar goals and purpose of the formation. Benchmarking can be done by evaluating the cost of hiring one person, the amount that each employee is earning for the company, forecasting on hiring and filing the available vacancies in the company (Jeffrey, pg11).
The staffing metrics employed by Monsanto Company are very reliable because, positive end results are eminent after execution. Monsanto Company managed to cover much on satisfaction metrics, these helped them to tell how satisfied their workers were. The staffing metrics have also improved in minimization of cost and maximizing profit in the organization, since metrics allows the agricultural products producing company to justify the cost, predict the trends of hiring workers and even predict the potential of some workers over their fellows. This also helped the company to choose suitable candidates for vacant positions whenever they were realized. This practice was better off since it helped to save on the cost of hiring and training a new employee to feel the vacant position.
It can also be noted that the staffing metrics used above were valid in the sense that they were correlating with the human resource goals of Monsanto Company. For instance, the staffing metrics helped in the uncovering of aspects that are labor related in the company like the sources of salaries expenses and efficiency in human resource operations.
From the above, it is vital to point out that staffing metrics plays a very major role in the life of an organization. The staffing and recruitment metric help us in identifying the areas of weaknesses and strengths of an organization, and these therefore helps the management to understand the areas to capitalize on and areas that needs improvement as well.
