CONCLUSION
While the business world is trending towards corporate social responsibility programs, organizations and businesses who are concerned with maintaining employees, performing well for stakeholders, and being around for customers should ensure that their focus remains on profits and profit growth. After all, without successful profit centers, good deeds by individuals could see a decrease if personal income and resources are affected by organizational goals and initiatives that don’t build a stronger, more sustainable company. As a society, we have also seen what people and businesses are capable of if they are both the maker of the law and the citizen, and it is not appropriate and produces negative outcomes, when a business is the entity responsible for creating rules and policing itself. This construct is exactly what we are asking for if we determine that social responsibility programs are mandatory.
