The way we communicate with others would impact the understanding and perceptions of the messages’ receiver. The language itself and also the body language are highly important in communication to avoid noise that could disturb the process of conveying the messages. For instance, in EOP course, one of the assessments is mock interview. During the interview, the students would apply their interpersonal skill to gain higher marks. If the language is unclear to be understood, poor English, and improper body language is shown by the interviewee, he or she will be evaluated as a poor candidate. This evaluation is done by another group of student who has been assigned as the interviewer and also a lecturer.
Another assessment is to present the business plan. If the presentation does not meet good presentations criteria, the group will get lower marks and the evaluation is done by lecturer according to the marking schemes. For mock interview, the evaluation being done after the group has finished being interviewed while for the skill for presentation part is measured during the class.

This criterion is about the benefits that company or organization gain from the training program conducted. EOP course give positive result towards International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). From this lesson, the final result of the students is the element that would be evaluated. The result is composed with carry marks that students gained from their assessment and the final examination marks. From the course outline, it showed that percentages of marks are gained a lot from written instead of oral skills. It might be ineffective element to be measured unless the weight of percentage is equally divided.
The way they evaluate is through observation and also data analysis of students’ grade. Observation is tends to be more roughly without concern about particular details, compared to data analysis. This is because analyzing data needs to have more information of students. Observation might be less accurate than data analyze. Usually, the result of this lesson is evaluated at the end of the semester, after the students get the final grade for this course.
Based on the information, most students get B+ for this lesson. Does the grade really determine the skills gained by the student? What if the student are really good in oral skills, but they did not manage to get A just because there are more weight in marks percentages in written skills? It need to be highlighted that written skills and oral skills are equally important in workplace. The university needs to make this as big concern since it would impact the cumulative marks and also future employability opportunity of the students.
