LABELLING STRATEGY
Labelling can come in several types within the range of simple tags to complex graphics. Labelling helps the customers to identify the products’ name. besides that, it can also describe several things regarding the product. It helps to promote the brand and also connects the brand with the customers.
As for the FD2, we have discussed it above where we stated Honda has built its reputation in becoming one of the leading car manufacturers in the world. Therefore, with that reputation, the product line under the brand Honda doesn’t need any introduction as the logo or label that represents Honda, shows the capability of their products.
PRODUCT LIFE-CYCLE STRATEGIES
It refers to the life cycle of the product’s sales and profits overtime. When we talk about product life-cycle we must always believe that it is built within these four things. The first is that each product has limited life span. Hence, forcing manufacturers to always develop their product. Besides that, the product will go through various stages which poses different challenges, opportunities and problems at each stage for the manufacturer. Profits also rise and fall at various stages of the cycle. It also requires different marketing, financial, purchasing, manufacturing and also human resource strategies at each stage of the life-cycle.
The Civic received its first minor face lift in October 2008. The standard hybrid version got a similar front bumper as the Type R. the head lamps were given smoked tinted and also the tail lamps were redesigned from the round insets into octagon. New sets of colours were introduced. Adding Premium White Pearl, Premium Deep Violet Red and Crystal Black Pearl, while dropping the Vivid Blue Pearl.

The second In back to back tests the Civic Type R (FD2) was on average 1 second quicker than the Integra Type-R (DC5) at the Tsukuba Circuit and four seconds faster at the longer Suzuka Circuit. The second test was conducted by the TV program in UK, 5th Gear. It proves that the FD2 was 3 seconds faster than the FN2 UK version.
Due to the failure to meet the upcoming emission requirements, there were only 13000 units of FD2 produced until it had to be ceased in August 2010. Following the previous success of the introduction of the FN2 Civic Type R from Europe in 2009, another batch of FN2 Type R with minor updates were available in fall 2010. The FN2 Type R has 197 hp (147 kW) vs the 222 hp (166 kW) output in the FD2 Type R.
