Target Market

The main target audience will be the home user that use a basic Internet for services such as streaming movies, gaming or roaming social websites. Included in this target audience will be the home business user as well small businesses. Marketing strategy will be developed to have a direct impact to its target market. To achieve the best possible results, it was decided to use a mixture of pull, push and profile marketing strategies for the launch of the E Chip router. Pull strategy will be used to achieve the awareness level stated above. Profile strategy will work towards interest building. Push strategy will allow to reach maximum number of visitors to the site.

Gartner further predicts that a customer-focused strategy that uses digital techniques and channels will result in increased engagement, response, and conversion rates. The report states that mobile marketing in the United States reached $877.2 million in 2010, a 138 percent jump from the $368 million spent in 2009. And, by 2014, 6.7 billion devices will be connected to the Internet, and developing social CRM applications will reach $1 billion by 2013, an increase from $600 million in 2010, the firm says. (Farb, 2011, p. 16)

Marketing Strategy

The organization will develop a website and draw attention to it through search engines such as, Google, Firefox, and Yahoo just to name a few. The organization will be placing banner ads over on Internet websites directing the market to the site of the E Chip Router. The website will provide information to visitors on the E Chip Router and its capabilities. The main objective of advertising over the Internet is to draw attention of the customers that spend significant amount of time online. These are the customers that will demonstrate interest in the E Chip Router and its capabilities.

E Corporation will have a product launch date party inviting technology magazine and journalists to the event. This will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of the E Chip router. Also this will provide free advertisement of the new router through the reviews the magazines will provide.

Included in the marketing strategy will be direct mail advertising, using social media sites, and TV ads over cable network. Every form of advertising will have a special code attached to it that will offer discount to the consumer. The special code will provide feedback as to what form of advertising is providing the most traffic to the site. The customer will have the opportunity to give a review of the product. By doing so offering a free gift at the end of the review.

Product

The E Chip router is a simple chip incorporated into a Wi-Fi router system that can amplify your signal and provide consistency download speeds over 25 devices. Imagine being able to have five or your best buddies over playing call of duty and nobody’s computer freezes up. The chip inside the Wi-Fi router will be able to provide consistency download speeds giving you the ability to multitask without slowing down. The software incorporated into the E Chip router will provide better networking security. Making it almost impossible for hacker to enter your network. In today’s world everything is run off the Wi-Fi system at home, for examples your TVs, alarm system, phones, and all your computers. Having a more powerful signal and better security measure is what will separate the E Chip router from other routers in the industry.

Price

Pricing is very important strategic element. The pricing strategies impinge on featuring products, channel decisions, and promotions. The cost of the E box router will be determined based on manufacturing costs such as components, advertising etc.

Channel

The E Chip router will be available through its own website distribution channels such as Best Buy, Verizon wireless, and other major electronic stores. The product will be also available online through its website such as Amazon, eBay and a direct website from the E organization. As described by David L Kurtz (2014) “A marketing channel also called the distribution channel is an organized system of marketing institutions and their relationships that enhances the physical flow of ownership of goods and services from producer to consumer or business user” (p.452).

Promotion

The main marketing activities include internet advertising, print advertising with supporting activities such as outdoor billboards, public relations and sales promotions. A product launch date with invitations to computer networking magazines inviting the press to view the E Chip router. Providing a firsthand look to the press to test and write a review giving free promotional advertisement to E Chip Router.

Service

Wi-Fi router amplification system improving networking capabilities for home or small business use. Taking a simple home Internet or mobile 4G LTE signal and amplifying and providing security with a consistency in download speed.

Internal marketing

Using search engines such as Google, Firefox to direct customers to the website informing them of the Wi-Fi router. Strategically positioned Internet banners on music, movie, and gaming websites offering the E Chip router.

Financial Plans

E Corporation will have an initial investment capital of $850,000, to be distributed in the following manner demonstrated in the chart below. The E Chip Wi-Fi router given the aggressive marketing plan set in place has predicted sales in the first year of 1,500,000.00.

Implementation Controls

E Corporation will be tracking the effectiveness of promotional programs through special code for discounts. Each form of advertising will have a special code attached to the advertisement than when purchasing the E Chip router. The customer can implement the code receiving a discount. E Corporation receiving feedback in order to track the advertisement and effectiveness of it. E Corporation will also be tracking the sales report and classifying them by regions.
