Breads

==========

Bread with preservative and without preservative.

Day 1, 2 and 3 both breads didn’t present any changes but have a nice texture.

Day 4 the bread without preservative started to show some changes it was more like with a solid texture and looked while the bread with preservative was with same nice texture.

Day 5 Analyzing both breads the one without preservative started to show signs of mold.

Day 6 as we continued observing we noticed that the bread continue with more mold mean while the bread with preservative was just with a more solid texture.

Day 7 we find out that the bread with preservative maintained the same signs but the other bread continue reproducing mold.

Day 8 the bread with preservative started to show signs of humidity with mold and we could see more mold growing from the bread without preservative

Day 9 we could observate that the bread with preservative was showing more mold.

Day 10 All the signs that both bread showed where the same but in some ways the bread with preservative have less mold than the one without preservative.

Conclusion

The preservative makes the bread last longer, it took 8 days for the bread with preservative to show signs of mold and the other bread that didn’t contained preservative just last 5 days meaning that if we left this for 10 more days the bread will be completely full of mold. My results indicate that our family should buy bread with preservatives to fix this problem.

Some suggestions that we have seen are to put the bread in a cool, dry place like the refrigerator or in a cupboard, and to clean the area where bread is stored with Lysol to keep the mold and bacteria from spreading to new loaves of bread
