features also tend to have a tremendous impact on
worldview. The geography of the country you live in affects the way you live, which in turn impacts your worldview. For instance the amount of land a country occupies, geographical barriers, whether is mass or limited water supply, nearby cultures and country is exposed to ,and the types of natural resources present can also affect world view. For example Japan is a country made up of small islands. There is a very limited amount of land. As a result Japanese people tend to collect very little as compared to Americans. Japan’s largest neighboring country is China so there is a lot of chinese culture integrated into Japanese society. Japan is bordered by many mountains and historically they were a very isolated people. As a result the Japanese became a very self sufficient people. When faced with disaster Japan is know for rebuilding themselves with very minimal aid from outside sources.
Worldview is such a complex and interesting concept. A person’s worldview is a very intrinsic element. Everything around them, what they experience, their cultural history, as well as many other elements shape their view of the world. No one is without a worldview and the more aware you are of your worldview the less you will be at the liberty of your emotions. There is not necessarily right or wrong worldview only what we believe and it all come back to the same question what makes us human beings. Everyone’s take on this question is different based upon where they are born, what culture they belong to, what religion they practice. There is no absolute truth to this question. It’s relative. The more we familiarize ourselves with the worldview of others and dispose of our self referent criteria, the more tolerant we will become and the closer to world peace.
