Urbanisation enhances people’s living quality, but it also brings a significant amount of pollution such as air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution and white pollution. Air pollution is a serious problem in the cities. The developing of urbanisation has been very quickly in China, so air quality is difficult to control. There are two causes of air pollution. For example, the numbers of vehicles are rapidly rising, and family use of coal is increasing. Because of outdoor air pollution, more than 400000 people die prematurely every year in China. Furthermore, according to the survey, lung cancer incidence of city is higher than the countryside( Gong et al, 2012). In addition, noise is that the voice causes people feel uncomfortable. Excessive noise can destroy the balance of human and animal life. Construction and transportation systems are the mainly reasons of the noise in the world. The noise of the traffic system mainly includes vehicle noise, aircraft noise and rail noise. Poor urban planning could increase the noise pollution. For instance, if the factories build in the vicinity of residential buildings, it can cause noise pollution to the residential area. Noise can damage a person’s physiology and psychology. Noise pollution can cause irritability, high blood pressure, high stress, tinnitus, hearing loss, sleep disturbances and other harmful effects. A typical American population showed people who always stay at high level noise environment will lead to damage of auditory system. Furthermore, animals are easily influenced by noise pollution in the city. Noise pollution can disturb their life habit and damage their habitats. Even cause extinction of city animals. For instance, European Robins, a bird, their communication system often is interrupt by night noise from traffic, music, or other kinds of sound from city, which influence their finding food and keeping in touch with their companions. Nowadays, this kind of bird is disappearing in city gradually (Saima,2012). People should reduce use of fossil fuels, such as, coal and petroleum, which should be replaced by clean energy to protect air cleaning. Especially during the winter, people who need to warm their house, reducing the use of coal in indoor is a efficient way to control the air pollution( Gong et al, 2012). The noise pollution can be control by several methods. For example, the government can limit the level of traffic noise during night or use advanced materials to isolate noise pollution (Saima, 2012).

Conclusion

In conclusion, this essay has shown there are some problems and solutions of urbanisation. For instance, urbanisation leads to work stress, traffic jams and pollution. Society and the government should put more effort on those issues. For instance, the governments should provide some job vacancies and job training for the people and need to improve traffic management. People should reduce use of fossil fuel. Therefore, people will benefit from urbanisation.
