Flags were placed on the lunar surface on each of six manned landings during the Apollo program.”(“The History of the American Flag”).With today’s standards there are many ways and codes of the flag including useage, when it should be flown, and they even had to follow these on the moon(“The History of the American Flag”). Some people think that the us government will add another state, Puerto Rico, which will in turn, add another star.
The American flag is a well know icon of america, it started from a hand sewn piece, changed many times, and is now mass produced and at almost every house. First established in 1777 and made by Betsy Ross, and ended up with 50 stars and 13 stripes.
