- John Baker apologies to Rennalls and invite him back to the company.

Advantages: Rennalls is a professional worker. He can influence the policy of the Company on the islands.

Disadvantages: His racial conflicts with the stuff. Rennalls is sometimes rude with staff and that causes negative emotions in the collective

- Find out another candidate for Rennals place.

Advantages: Taking a Barracanian substitute for the place. It may solve the problem of Rennall’s stuff rudeness.

Disadvantages: By dismissing Rennalls the company will lose an “irreplaceable” specialist. Rennalls has a good political influence throw his father; the company may have difficulties with Barracanian government.

- All of them need training to learn and respect the cultural differences in the company.

Advantages: By learning other culture differences will eventually improve the understanding between them and avoid any miscommunications to happen.

Disadvantages: They may overcome and face many challenges during this period of time. Took time to learn and understand other culture. Probability, we face culture shock during the learning process.

- THE BEST STRATEGY AND JUSTIFICATION

For this case, the best strategy that we would choose is John Baker will apologize to Rennalls and invite him to join back to company. John Baker can use middleman to contact with Rennalls to delivery his intention towards. This is very suitable way because both of them is professional person in job. For John Baker, its show how his truly intention to get apologies from Rennalls about misunderstanding happen in most proper and diplomatic way.

The middleman, we will use someone who have an integrity and respect that person like CEO of company. If involve top management of company it will make some change in way to solve problem in company without people outside know about this. It will maintain good company image from conflict of management towards racial issue.

If this strategy success, the impact of the management of company will make improvement in way to avoid same issues happen again from top management until lower management. The company will create policy in human resource management to reduce racist problem among employees, this very effective if the company gives routine activities or group tasks which mix all workers without see their background. Back to the cases, it is important that company to have culture knowledge among the employees.

- IMPLEMENTATION

It is important to have someone like CEO of the company reach out to Rennalls. Baker must invite Rennalls back to the company and apologize to him. Besides, it helps to maintain themimage of the company. The issue needs to be addressed with Baker. The CEO need to have a conversation with Baker regarding the inappropriate nature and comments during the last meeting with Rennalls. His behaviour need to change immediately before it gives further impacts towards the organization.

Moreover, all company staff must have a meeting to clear all the misunderstanding that had been solved between Rennalls and Baker. Rennalls should have his promotion in a different approach to retain him as the chief engineer position and the best way was face to face. If he still refused, Baker can find someone else to replace Rennall’s position.

Furthermore, the company would have the diversity and inclusion training which includes the awareness about the various cultures in the organization. As an example, Baker needs training about his perception of others and cultural diversity. While, The Barracanians and other expatriates need some train in learning cultural differences in the company. Human resource department also will create a policy about the diversity council to reduce racists’ problem.
