The problem of evil, McCloskey spends most of his time talking about the problem with evil. McCloskey believes that the solution is in fact pain, which God is punishing the sinner. God’s way is to show us of his existence and he also is warning others to redeem their selves and change their ways. He claims that atheist is effected differently than theists, because atheist believe that there is evil all around us, and at times makes it a better place when evil is around.
The atheist believe that the word is full of evil and is beyond being perfect and has flaws in the world where evil is present. Evil can affect people and cause injury to an innocent person. McCloskey stated if evil did not exist than we would have no Human race as well (McCloskey, 56). As humans we are evil in some way and at our own free will, because we can choose whether or not to act in an evil manner towards others or harm others in an evil manner that can cause injury or death to another person.
McCloskey main point is that we find more comfort as an atheism than we would when it comes to theism.
My point of view I do believe there is a God and everything in life has a purpose in life and we choose how we perceive things in our life. McCloskey arguments are based on his point of view on God’s existent and we choose whether or not we agree with him. I believe that McCloskey does not believe in God’s existent due to the facts and arguments he placed within the article. He argues with the theists about the evidence of existence, but shows no proof if he does or does not exists and their fore I believe that he is saying that God is evil. McCloskey expressed his views in his content of arguments but had some valid points in the article but he also had several of his proof that claimed to be invalid.
