Daisy: Tom, what is the matter with you! Pammy has just fallen asleep.
Tom: You know what devastating event occurred! This is a serious matter and I suggest you consider it as it is. Myrtle is dead and we can’t be quiet about this.
Daisy: Well Tom, what do you expect me to do, I can’t just let this accident take control of my life. Just look at yourself, you are angry and saddened at the same time.
[sits next to her.]
Tom: Fine, but first, I need to make things right in Myrtle’s honor.
Daisy: What are you saying?
Tom: Don’t you see Daisy, that man of yours in the pink suit is a coward and a murderer. With his temper, he could have also killed her husband, George!
Daisy: That is not true at all! I know Gatsby and he would never hurt someone, let alone kill them. He is a good man and I bet he is saddened by the news as we speak.
Tom: I will not let this coward get away with this, he has caused enough trouble. Gatsby is a fraud and I don’t even think this matter is concerning him.
Daisy: Oh Gosh Tom, what do you propose we do then?
Tom: He has to be brought to justice. I think we should turn him in to the police and they’ll take care of him. He mustn’t continue with any of his grand plans.
Daisy: If you insist it’s the right thing to do, then we’ll go ahead and do this…
[Tom gets up and exits the room]
