According to a research from Gallup Organization in the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, GHWBI for short, emotional health is related strongly to household income and their evaluation on life quality. Researchers from the organization found that individuals does not get any happier after earning $75k per year. (Fahey, 2015).Money may only equal to happiness depending on the income, outcome and circumstance of the person. If he or she has a high income, they are most likely to be happy only if they are living a healthy lifestyle and balanced work life. If the person is earning lower than average income then there is high chance that the individual may be unhappy and unsastified with the circumstance of his life. As stated above, many do not get any happier after earning more than $75k per year as they most likely deemed successful, bought whatever they wanted to buy or need and already content with what they had meaning that excess amount of cash earned is just a number in bank account or not really needed by them.

The essay has explored the relation between health and happiness and show that it does not always correlate. The paragraphs above have shown that the way you see wealth and how wisely you use it will affect your happiness. Wealth and happiness does not go well with each other unless you are wise enough to balance it. It only been possible to cover few factors due to the limited research done and time constraints. Other findings also show that aging society health and happiness t depends on countries that people are in living in. For example, the richer the countries get, the more happier they are hence the stronger relation in income and happiness. This trend of accumulating wealth is likely to and espescially in a country like Singapore. Therefore the government needs to ensure policy and rules for example maximum working 40 hours including overtime per week. They must ensure that even small companies complies with their rules and regulations to ensure better and happier working environment and most importantly to increase pay of low income workers and give them more health benefits.
