packed with information and statistics. This book was very well written thought out and did not seem to have any inaccurate facts.
Richard Preston did a very good job of presenting his facts and you could tell it was very well researched. All the claims he made in this book were real and legitimate. This book would definitely be considered a non-fiction thriller, because all the events in his book were real and they were events that would cause his audience to be shocked, scared or thrilled. When I started to read this book I was shocked at how vivid the author was about the diseases and how horrible they actually were. I have heard about the diseases before reading this book but I never knew how bad they actually were, I now have a greater understanding about that. I was interested by some of the facts about smallpox and anthrax because these diseases still exist and the idea of them getting out into the public is a scary idea and no one can prepare themselves for how horrible and scary the outcome would be. By what the author was stating in this book smallpox could actually destroy the human population.
When I stared reading this book I had different expectations. I thought this book was going to be an average fiction book but I was very wrong. I wasn’t expecting this book to have such detailed stories and accurate facts. As soon as I started reading this book I had started to learn so many new things and had opened my eyes to what the author was trying to portray to the audience. Before reading this book I had the attitude of “nothing like this could ever happen to me” But after reading it I have a whole new perspective and I understand this this is a serious issue and should not be taken lightly.
