Ayad (2010) review some critical thinking theories that established by the pioneers. And the paper focuses on introducing six sigma and its method “5 whys” approach, which combining critical thinking in analysis the root cause for business process improvement. Furthermore, the article provides specific success business cases and pertinent advices in order to avoid some fallacy thoughts in business. In that way, it could allow me get deep insight into how to achieve success in business by applying critical thinking.
The article will be very useful to my analysis about critical thinking in terms of business operation. Also the authors have done an excellent job to help me to understand the importance of critical thinking in business process. Because critical thinking could guard the judgement from biases, bad data and fallacies reason and provides a platform for understanding patterns, consequences and risk. In addition, the authors emphasize that critical thinking is a vital career skill for job competence. However, the article lack certain statistical data and more relevant research about specific ways should be combined critical thinking with six sigma system the authors mentioned in the article.
Conclusion
To conclude, the annotated bibliography has reviewed three source related to how to adopt corporate social responsibility in decision making of business .And one related to critical thinking in business.
A critical analysis of each source has been provide within each paragraph. There are some apparent connection amongst the reports analyzed. For example, both Nalband et al. and Mohr et al. all adopt personal interview as the research method, and McWilliams mainly use case study as analysis tool .Meanwhile, three source related to corporate social responsibility all explain the relationship between corporate social responsibility and decision making of business more or less. The last source about critical thinking in business highlight analysis the different step of critical thinking. Those four sources inspire me that we should applying critical thinking in whether adopt corporate social responsibility in decision making of business.
