Some parents of autistic children are concerned about the future of their child (Ladew,2015). If trained well, these children will be able to find work and live a productive adult life (Ladew, 2015). What happens when the child is diagnosed with a disability, parents forget what the child needs to be prepared for in adult life (Ladew, 2015).Interventions, schooling, and medication can help alleviate distractive behaviors so the child can learn behaviors, skills and knowledge about being productive and independent as an adult (Ladew, 2015).Many autistic children can be trained for the work environment (Ladew,2015).There are thousands of people with autism, have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be hired but are yet unemployed (Chu, 2015). There are several private companies taking on the challenge of hiring these individuals and are having great successes (Chu, 2015).

However, in analyzing FAMU’s hiring processes, there is not a definitive hiring solution to attract people within the Autism Spectrum.
