Ethical principles from the Bible to use on a global decision is not encouraged for a number of reasons. A third of the world’s population are Christians, must less of this fraction are practicing and belong to different denominations who might have different interpretations of the teachings of Scriptures. This is quite clear that even to Christians, these principles are not sufficient. These principles are then rendered irrelevant by the rest of the population: Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, voodoos and atheists. (White, 1978) They should however note that law and order requires to be maintained and should uphold morality and integrity in conducting their businesses just not as White has defined, they should therefore have a point of reference like the Quran, teachings of Buddha.

A most important challenge the manager will face while using these principles will be the differences that exist between the global religions, they might have a provision not encouraged for by the Bible, for instance, the Bible will encourage that payback is not moral while atheists believe in “Tit for tat” kind of dealings. The manager will have place to enforce the principles as everyone has a right to a system of beliefs and should not be forced to partake in activities that do not conform to the system. My suspicion is that this gave rise to the round table that came up with the Caux principles standardized to cater to each and every specific need of a person.
