How will you convince donors to donate?

Explain to them about how their contributions will be utilized. Mention the importance of even the smallest of donations and how it grows exponentially when many alumni’s donate. I would use facts like how our university is currently in the top rankings and how their donations would be very helpful to keep those high standards and perhaps take that extra step. I would also highlight the advantages of being a donor to them. I probably have to learn the specifics from you

How will you talk to someone who has donated before?

I would start by thanking them for their previous donations and expand on how that money was used. I would update them on the current university achievements and their department achievements. Then I would try to convince them of improving on their previous offer.

How will you deal with someone who doesn’t want to donate?

First and foremost, I would try to convince them by explaining how their money will be utilized wisely for the improvement of the university and how they can also benefit by donating. If they are still unconvinced, I would try to gradually reduce the price until they are satisfied with a certain amount. Because even the smallest of donations would be very helpful when we look at the big picture. If they don’t want to donate at all, I would try to understand the reasons and respect their decision. I would end by thanking them for their time and consideration.

What will you do if you are not selected?

I would respect your decision but also prefer to know the reasons for my rejection so that I could improve myself in those aspects and of course apply again after a few months.
