Conclusion

Women need to be encouraged to enter a field that is typically male dominated. Companies can institute family-friendly policies to attract female employees. As women enter the field of IT they should also be considered for advancement as much as their male counterparts. If all of these components can be addressed, the lack of women in technology will become a thing of the past, which can help us all move forward.
